Starting Out

We've been married for just over two months and so far it's been great. We went on our honeymoon, quit our jobs and relocated to the sunnier side of the state...
We moved in August and settled into our new Pullman apartment and it's finally become a home.
We put pictures on the walls...
filled our bookshelves...
stuffed the kitchen full of appliances and dishes...
and now it's nice to walk through our front door after a long day.
We love being able to see each other every day: such a nice adjustment from Andrew living in Bellingham. Every morning we drink coffee and every night we eat dinner together. I'm still job-searching, and hopefully something will come my way. Sitting in the apartment all day every day gets old quickly. Andrew at least keeps busy all day...

First day of school!
Taking a nap after I surprised him with lunch
He has successfully made his way through two weeks of vet school at WSU and so far he likes it. He took his first quiz this week and aced it, and his professor gave him an 'excellent.' I'm so proud.

It's a gameday today, and the excitement around here is palpable. It's just this buzzing energy supplied with horn-honking and hollering and groups of people walking to campus. Our neighbors usually throw tailgating parties and last night was no exception - beer bottles are littering the complex. If Andrew has a Saturday off someday, we might actually go to a game.. which means we would have to buy some cougar gear.
We're slowly becoming accustomed to life here... we just have to get used to several things:
1) The population in Pullman is mainly students.

2) Students are mainly annoying.

3) Everything is covered in dust, most likely from the wheat and lentil harvesting.

4) It doesn't take long to get anywhere.

5) It's hot. Like 90+ degrees hot.

6) We miss animals.
Like fatty Leo...
And fluffy Gally...
We're getting along just fine without family, but we miss them more and more every day. Last night we skyped with the other Roccos and they even put Leo up for us to see. That was fun.
Anyway, we're still alive and hopefully we'll last four years here. No rain is hard to deal with, don't take that miserable Everett weather for granted!

Love you all!
